Chinese Delegation

The partnership between the Netherlands and China reached a significant milestone as a delegation from Quanzhou, China, consisting of 12 members, visited the Netherlands. The meeting took place aboard the Vega, a symbol of innovation and sustainability.

The delegation was warmly welcomed by representatives from Fair Winds Collective (FWC) and EcoClipper. The Vega, known for its commitment to sustainable sailing, provided a fitting venue for discussions centered around environmental innovation.

Peggy, our representative of FWC, and Jeremy from EcoClipper led the presentation of sustainable projects under sail. They highlighted the potential of traditional sailing technologies in modern-day applications, emphasizing their benefits in reducing carbon footprints and promoting eco-friendly transport solutions.

The crew and ship of the Avontuur arrived safely, a successful completion of the remarkable transatlantic journey, voyage #13. Upon docking, the Avontuur was met by representatives of the Fair Winds Collective, including Ursel, Peggy, and Kasimir. Kaap de Groene Hoop, Amsterdam - The Ide Min is back. Marking the end of an adventurous transatlantic voyage. This journey, undertaken by the resilient ship and its dedicated crew, brought back not just cargo, but stories of exploration, sustainability, and the enduring spirit of maritime tradition.
Onboard the Ide Min was a rich bounty from across the Atlantic, including cacao, rum, and coffee - products that not only tantalize the senses but also represent a commitment to sustainable and ethical trading practices. These goods were transported under the banner of Kaap Kargo.
