Sail Trade South West

Sustainable Sail‑Cargo & Community Maritime Project

Sail Trade South West is a community‑driven initiative dedicated to preserving traditional maritime heritage and promoting sustainable practices through education, low‑carbon food transport, and hands‑on sailing experiences. At its heart is the 1929 Cornish Lugger Ibis — a restored historic vessel that offers voyages, day sails, cargo runs, and cultural market trips, inviting people to learn seamanship, connect with nature, and support ultra‑low‑carbon food transport. The project also showcases ethically sourced produce transported under sail and fosters community engagement, resilience, and purpose through shared maritime adventure and sustainable values.
