Timbercoast 63 Tons of Cargo on board - Invitation to Amsterdam and Hamburg for Unloading

If all goes according to plan, the AVONTUUR will arrive at the NDSM (Kaap de Groene Hoop) in Amsterdam on June 22, where part of her cargo will be unloaded with the support of our partner KaapKargo. Among the goods arriving are coffee for Kaap Koffie and cacao for Wild Child Cacao both transported by sail across the ocean.

📍 Amsterdam, NDSM Arrival & Unloading

  • Monday, June 22, 15:00-17:00 .

  • NDSM, Kaap De Groene Hoop

The AVONTUUR then continues to Hamburg-Harburg, where a second unloading will take place on June 26.

For the Fair Winds Collective, this is a special moment: together, we celebrate Mission Zero and the arrival of the AVONTUUR (Timbercoast) after her eight-month voyage filled with adventure, community, sail cargo, and emission-free transport across the Atlantic.

This voyage brings a remarkable cargo of around 63 tonnes, including nearly 900 sacks of coffee. On board are the new coffee harvests destined for Café Chavalo and MITKA. Many are eagerly awaiting the arrival of this year's sail-shipped coffee in Hamburg-Harburg after its transatlantic journey under sail.

The AVONTUUR is also carrying a small number of rum barrels destined for Spirit of Rum in Berlin and a recipient in Denmark - continuing the long tradition of transporting fine goods by wind power.

📍 Hamburg Arrival & Unloading

  •  Friday, June 26, at approximately 10:00 AM.

  • Museumshafen Hamburg-Harburg

Anyone interested in helping with the unloading is warmly invited to join. Please remember to bring sturdy work shoes and gloves. Experience shows that the fun, good spirits, and sense of community come naturally once the work begins. 😉

If you would like to help unload the cargo, please contact Café Chavalo as soon as possible at info@cafe-chavalo.de.

Part of the coffee will continue its journey by bicycle. From August 21–28, WissenLeben e.V. will organize its sixth eco-fair Coffee Cycling Tour from Hamburg to Dresden. Participants aim to promote climate protection, climate justice, and fair trade. Anyone interested in joining can find more information and register via info@wissenleben.de.

We would like to thank the crew, our partners, and all supporters who once again demonstrate that low-emission maritime freight transport is possible.

Fair Winds!

Your Fair Winds Collective Crew
