Sailors, shipbuilders, architects, scientists, and maritime enthusiasts for a full day of talks, ideas, and inspiration on the wind-powered future of shipping. Speakers from The Ocean Movement, Dykstra Naval Architects, Clipper Stad Amsterdam, and Raybel Charters shared forward-looking perspectives on combining traditional sailing heritage with modern sustainability — from cleaner oceans and energy-harvesting sails to the revival of ancient trade routes.

During Sail Amsterdam, Fair Winds Collective partners joined a Planktoscope workshop aboard the Grayhound to explore how sailors can support ocean science by collecting plankton data. This collaboration with SOOP enables citizen scientists at sea to monitor marine biodiversity and carbon cycles using innovative low-cost technology.
