A Network for Change – Sustainability on the Blue Roads
If every action matters, what would happen if we were brave?
At boot Düsseldorf 2026 (FWC speaker: Peggy Engelmann), the answer will be visible on flags, stages, and shared horizons.
From 17–19 January 2026, the Fair Winds Collective, together with the Enkhuizer Zeevaartschool, Deutsche Meeresstiftung (German Ocean Foundation) and the Love Your Ocean initiative, will be present at Hall 11, Stand H04, presenting partners, projects, workshops, and talks that connect emission-free sailing, education, climate action, and global cooperation.
It is an invitation to rethink how we move, learn, and care for the ocean.
A Network for Change
Fair Winds Collective brings together sailors, educators, ship owners, artists, and changemakers who believe that sustainable maritime pathways are possible today. Our partners prove that courage, collaboration, and responsibility can transform the blue roads of our planet into routes of regeneration rather than exploitation.
Together with Deutsche Meeresstiftung (German Ocean Foundation) / Love Your Ocean, boot Düsseldorf becomes a space where sustainability is not a concept—but a lived experience.
Workshop: Flags of Hope – Your Flag for a Better Future
Participatory Education & Climate Action
Fair Winds Collective presence with Laura and Peggy an interactive workshop:
Flags of Hope – Deine Flagge für eine bessere Zukunft
Workshop times:
Visitors of all ages are invited to create their own Flag of Hope on real sailcloth. Children and adults express personal messages for climate protection, ocean health, and future generations.
What makes this project unique: The finished flags will be hoisted on partner vessels across Europe and, in 2026, sailed across the Atlantic by the Fair Winds Collective—becoming a powerful, moving symbol of shared responsibility and global hope.
Art, education, and action merge into one collective statement: We care. We act. We sail with the wind.
Talks & Presentations
Fair Winds Collective will also take the stage several times during boot Düsseldorf. All slides will be in English; the talks themselves will be held in German, unless stated otherwise.
